In just a few short months after completing my clerkship, I feel confident that establishing my legal career at Baker McKenzie will be fantastic for my professional development, will open many doors, and will enable me to bring my whole self to work and shape the wonderfully diverse culture of the Firm.

The team ensures that as a Graduate you are paired with a junior or senior lawyer, and you’re exposed to a wide range of different legal issues that you may not have come across working at a corporate firm.

One week I could be prepping for a court case, observing in court and strategising with senior lawyers and the next week I could be reviewing a dense brief of evidence and drafting an advise on prospects to a client.

I love working with people to assist them in getting outcomes that benefit their business units, the COO and ultimately the department.

I choose Banking and Finance as I knew that I wanted to work on deals (rather than disputes) with an international element.
